Having a project plan and time schedule will help me track I'm own progress and let me know if I my falling behind schedule. The project plan also clearly states the outcomes for my project, as well as a order in which I will complete tasks.

Update: Below is my finished  Project plan copied. without the time schedule.

Project plan – XB3002

This project I will be split up into two assignments. The first assignment is to create a game design document to a professional standard based on my report for DD3000. The GDD will be based on one of 3 games concepts I have created. The game concept I have chosen is my RTS game concept. To accompany the GGD I will also create a professional game pitch. For the second assignment I will create tailor a portfolio, C.V. and Cover letter to a AAA studio and an Indie developer.

Aims

The GGD will be presented in a professional standard in a visual rich format. The GGD will cover all key areas of the Game concept with detail descriptions and imagery. The GDD will also include a 60seconds game play example. Even though the game will not be created extra consideration will be taken in to sure the gameplay will be balanced, if it were to be developed as well as consideration ideas to give the game more replay value.

C.V. and Covering letter will look and be written to a high standard, which will be suitable to be used if applying for a real job. Both C.V. and Covering letter will be tailored my chosen AAA studio and Indie Developer. I will also pick the art work for my portfolio making sure that it will be appropriate to the art style, theme and type of art work, similar to the two chosen studios.

Actions

After I have chosen the game concept to bring forward, I will start the GDD. I will then go thought each area of the GDD. Each area will be written about in detail and supporting art work will be creating when it is needed. The design layout for the GDD will be theme to the chosen game. After the GDD is finished a professional presentation pitch will be created and presented, where I will be assessed on my presentation skills as well as the strong of my game concept.  The C.V., covering letter and portfolio will be created after the GDD is complete. The C.V. and cover letter will be presented in a high standard. The C.V. will contain relevant information.

The GDD, C.V.s, covering letters and portfolio will be printed and packaged professional standard.
