The game i have chosen to design has a 2D pixel art graphic to help me achieve this I use 3D software to help with the perspective and space of the pixel art i wanted to create. For example is the stages i go through to create a tank for my game.
First I create a design I like in 3Ds MAX
I then render the tank from a isomeric camera view.
Then put the render into Photoshop and draw over it, using the 3D render as a template.

Philosophy of War
I game concept i am forwarding to a GDD is Philosophy of War or WoP it is a real time Strategy game, where the player will command
units, constructed bases and their defenses as well as gathering
resources. The game will explore
different technologies of war in history. WoP takes familiar step to past with nostalgic isometric pixel graphics
as well as combining with modern in-depth game play and mechanics that gamers expect today. In WoP, Players will rage war against each other to achieve world
domination. WoP lets the player choose who and when to attack, as well as
letting the player create their own units from scratch, making the player
choose their own philosophy of design and war, Truly making WoP a unique take
on RTS genre.

Project plan – XB3002
This project I will be split up into two assignments. The
first assignment is to create a game design document to a professional standard
based on my report for DD3000. The GDD will be based on one of 3 games concepts
I have created. The game concept I have chosen is my RTS game concept. To
accompany the GGD I will also create a professional game pitch. For the second
assignment I will create tailor a portfolio, C.V. and Cover letter to a AAA
studio and an Indie developer.
Aims
The GGD will be presented in a professional standard in a
visual rich format. The GGD will cover all key areas of the Game concept with
detail descriptions and imagery. The GDD will also include a 60seconds game
play example. Even though the game will not be created extra consideration will
be taken in to sure the gameplay will be balanced, if it were to be developed
as well as consideration ideas to give the game more replay value.
C.V. and Covering letter will look and be written to a high
standard, which will be suitable to be used if applying for a real job. Both
C.V. and Covering letter will be tailored my chosen AAA studio and Indie
Developer. I will also pick the art work for my portfolio making sure that it
will be appropriate to the art style, theme and type of art work, similar to
the two chosen studios.
Actions
After I have chosen the game concept to bring forward, I
will start the GDD. I will then go thought each area of the GDD. Each area will
be written about in detail and supporting art work will be creating when it is
needed. The design layout for the GDD will be theme to the chosen game. After
the GDD is finished a professional presentation pitch will be created and
presented, where I will be assessed on my presentation skills as well as the
strong of my game concept. The C.V.,
covering letter and portfolio will be created after the GDD is complete. The
C.V. and cover letter will be presented in a high standard. The C.V. will
contain relevant information.
The GDD, C.V.s, covering letters and portfolio will be
printed and packaged professional standard.
Software
Below is a list of software I will be using and what I am
using them for.
Word: used for writing the GDD
Photoshop: used for concept art and art
work
3Ds Max: Used for concept art
Outcomes
1 CD with
the following content:
1x Game Design Document
2x C.V. (one tailored to AAA and
the other tailored to a indie developer)
1x Digital images of Art
portfolio
Printed

3 Game concepts
From the result of the DD3000 report based on the advancement in technology during the First World War. I came came up with 5 initial ideas for game concept and choose the 3 strongest ideas ideas and developed them into 3 concept documents, two pages in length.
Original concept documents.
Concept 1
Is called Evolution of Warfare. The game is a real time Strategy game, where the player will command units, constructed bases and there defenses as well as gathering resources. The game will take place throughout history; start with Non Fiction tech of World War One and ending with a fictional futuristic look on what might be to come. The game will also have a living environment where things like tree grow back once chopped down.
Concept 2
Concept 3
Update 1: The original concept document were to long and need cutting down. The content needed to refine and supporting images needed to be added. To create a visually rich format. To achieve this I recreated the 3 concept document again in PhotoShop rather than using Microsoft word.
Concept 1
Concept 2
Concept 3

After pitching the game ideas to my peers, and gaining feedback on the layout and games ideas. I have chosen to go with concept 1. I choose this game ideas because it best fit the findings for the DD3000 report as well as getting the best response from my peers as the better game ideas, out of the 3 I pitched.
Update 2: After presenting the more refined PhotoShop version of my game concept 1, I was give the value feedback on how to improve it though. For feedback I was advised to make more use out of the image I had used and created, by link the image up with short line of text explain elements of the image, instead of using a large paragraph to explain everything.
Improved Concept 1
For my final game concept for the GDD I my going to combine elements of concept 2 with concept 1. the feature i my going to use for concept 2, is the ability to create units for a selection of characteristic letter the player choose what type of unit they want and need.
